I have just completed the geography curriculum that focuses on the study of the USA. It is called “Our Nation: An In-depth Study of the USA”.

This is an exciting study. I have used it for 8 years in my classroom.

This study:

1. Give the names of different physical and political aspects of our nation.
2. Helps children develop a greater knowledge of the nation in which we live.
3. Bring the Montessori philosophy “help me do it myself” into the home.
4. It meets the children where they are at.
5. It allows for beginning, intermediate and advanced study.
6. It reinforced writing complete sentences while using appropriate punctuation and capitalization.
7. Challenges every child to “think”!
8. Teaches mandated curriculum in an exciting, individualized and independent way.
